This Disclaimer and Risk Notice explains what TradingTune is, what it is not, and the risks involved in trading and investing. It applies to the TradingTune browser extension, the website at tradingtune.com, and any results, screenshots, or examples shown on either of them (together, the "Service"). It supplements, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service (in particular Section 6, "No financial advice; trading-risk disclaimer") and our Privacy Policy. If anything here conflicts with the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control. By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to this Disclaimer.

1. TradingTune is a software and analysis tool only

TradingTune is a browser extension and a piece of analytics software. It is a research, testing, and optimization utility that helps you backtest and stress-test your own trading strategies on the third-party platform TradingView, entirely within your own web browser. Its purpose is to automate parameter optimization and robustness analysis so you can study how a strategy you already have would have behaved on historical data.

TradingTune is not, and does not do, any of the following:

• It is not a broker, broker-dealer, exchange, investment adviser, financial planner, or financial institution, and it does not act as any of these.
• It does not execute, place, route, or manage trades, and it does not connect to, integrate with, or require credentials or API keys for any broker, exchange, or trading account.
• It does not hold, custody, receive, or transfer any funds, securities, or other assets.
• It does not manage money or portfolios on your behalf and creates no advisory, fiduciary, brokerage, or account-management relationship with you.
• It does not provide market-data feeds, signals, alerts, or copy-trading; all market data and backtesting come from TradingView, which is independent of TradingTune.

You purchase access to software functionality, not financial services, a managed account, or any financial product. See Section 2 of the Terms of Service for a full description of how the Service operates.

2. No financial, investment, or trading advice

Nothing produced by, displayed in, derived from, or associated with the Service constitutes financial, investment, trading, legal, tax, or accounting advice, and nothing on this website or in the extension is a recommendation, endorsement, solicitation, inducement, or offer to buy, sell, or hold any security, derivative, currency, digital asset, commodity, or other financial instrument, or to adopt, follow, or rely on any trading or investment strategy. TradingTune does not tell you what to trade, when to trade, or how to allocate capital. Any information, output, metric, or illustration is provided for general informational and software-demonstration purposes only, and you should not treat it as advice or as a basis for any decision.

3. We do not sell, supply, or recommend strategies or signals

TradingTune does not sell, license, distribute, supply, or recommend trading strategies, indicators, scripts, or signals, and it is not a marketplace for any of these. The Service contains no "winning" strategy, tip, or signal for you to buy or follow.

You bring and run your own strategy. The strategy, indicator, or script you test is yours: you supply it, you choose the parameter ranges and assets, you direct every optimization run, and you decide what, if anything, to do with the results. TradingTune simply automates the testing of the strategy you already control. You are solely responsible for the strategy you test, for how you use it, and for ensuring that doing so complies with all applicable law and with the terms of any third-party platform you use it with (including TradingView).

4. Hypothetical and historical results; overfitting

Any backtest, optimization, simulation, or performance figure generated, surfaced, or processed through the Service is hypothetical and based on historical data. Past performance and hypothetical performance are not indicative of, and do not guarantee, future results.

Optimized parameters are derived from historical data and are inherently prone to overfitting (curve-fitting): a strategy that performs well on past data may perform poorly, or cause losses, in live trading. Hypothetical results have built-in limitations because they are prepared with the benefit of hindsight and generally do not account for real-money execution, order fills, fees, commissions, slippage, liquidity, latency, financing costs, or market impact. No representation is made that any account will, or is likely to, achieve profits or losses similar to those shown.

5. Examples shown on this site are the founder's own strategy

Any results, screenshots, charts, metrics, or examples shown on this website or in the extension, including the strategy referred to as the "Smart Momentum Grid" and any backtests of it, are the founder's own private strategy and are shown solely to illustrate how the software works. They are demonstrations of TradingTune's optimization and analysis features, not a product, service, or strategy that is for sale, and not part of what you receive when you use the Service.

These examples are not a recommendation, not a solicitation, and not advice to trade the strategy or any asset shown. They are not representative of typical or expected results; they are specific, hypothetical, historical, and curated to demonstrate features, and your own results will differ. Do not interpret any example as a promise, projection, or guarantee of performance. See our backtests page for the context in which these illustrations are presented.

6. Trading risk and your sole responsibility

Trading and investing involve substantial risk of loss and are not suitable for everyone. You may lose some or all of your capital, and you can lose more than your initial investment when using leverage or derivatives.

You are solely and exclusively responsible for evaluating the merits and risks of any strategy, parameter set, trade, or investment; for every decision you make; and for all resulting outcomes. You should not trade or invest with money you cannot afford to lose, and you should consult your own licensed financial, legal, and tax advisors before making any trading or investment decision. The Service and its outputs are tools to inform your own independent analysis; they are not a substitute for professional advice or your own judgment. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradingTune has no liability for any trading or investment losses or other outcomes arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or its outputs (see Sections 10 and 11 of the Terms of Service).

7. Software subscription; no guaranteed outcome

TradingTune is paid software, offered as a monthly or annual subscription and as a one-time lifetime option (see Section 7 of the Terms of Service). You are paying for access to software functionality, not for any financial product, managed account, signal, or strategy, and not for any outcome. We do not promise, project, or guarantee any profit, return, or result, and no result shown anywhere on this site is promised to you. You can stop future renewals at any time by cancelling, as described in Section 8 of the Terms of Service; refunds are governed by Section 7 of the Terms of Service.

8. No affiliation with TradingView

TradingTune is an independent third-party tool. It is not affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with TradingView, Inc. or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates. "TradingView" and any related names, marks, and logos are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only nominatively to describe interoperability. Your use of TradingView is governed by TradingView's own terms and policies, which TradingTune does not control. See Section 5 of the Terms of Service for more on the TradingView relationship and the risks you assume.
